About the owner
Meet Bill Tarr.
Bill Tarr
Owner · Tarr & Sons
Tarr & Sons isn't a cleaning company that grew into professionalism — it was built by someone who already operated at the highest standard in the industry.
Bill got his start in his father's business, then spent decades in healthcare facility leadership. As Director of Housekeeping at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, he managed 120+ unionized staff serving a 590-bed acute-care facility. At Vernon Jubilee Hospital he served as Director of Building Services — overseeing housekeeping, laundry, maintenance trades, and engineering on a $25-million budget — and he held the same role at Haro Park Centre, a 212-bed long-term care facility.
He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Microbiology from UBC, specializing in infection control in acute-care settings. When Bill came home to Vernon to rebuild his father's business, he brought that institutional discipline with him — and he still works alongside his crew today.
